We didn’t have a very strict agenda when we visited Montréal. In fact, we had a very simple plan; get drunk and eat great food. But if we did have some semblance of a goal, it was to try one of the nation’s most notable dishes. Poutine (pronounced poo-tan) is a dish that originated in Québec and is common fare up north. Poutine purists would argue that the dish should strictly consist of french fries (medium cut), cheese curds and brown gravy. Continue reading
